Fuel Bowl Pressure Port Adapter – 90 Deg Elbow X 1/8 FNPT 13-002

Description

1/8″ NPT 90º elbow pressure port adapter. Fits the pressure ports straight thread fitting located on the rear of the 99-03 Ford 7.3L Powerstroke fuel bowls for aftermarket fuel pressure gauges or to add a pressure test port to your fuel system.

With the adjustable seal nut on the port side of the fitting, this adapter can be set to point any direction to accommodate installation of remote senders and/or gauges.

Note: to install this fitting in the filtered port (right side, next to fuel drain) the fuel drain valve must be removed and reinstalled after the fitting is installed.

Diesel O-Ring Note: Due to the curvature of the fuel bowl, it may be necessary to remove some of the metal where the adapter begins to hit the bowl during installation to allow more of the adapter’s threads to enter the fuel bowl. To accomplish this, test fit the adapter in the fuel bowl. when the adapter touches the side of the fuel bowl, mark this spot on the adapter. Remove the adapter from the fuel bowl and grind a small amount of metal from the side of the adapter on the spot you marked where it touched the fuel bowl. The fitting is rated at 2000 PSI so there is more than enough shoulder metal to meet the maximum of 100 PSI in the fuel bowl. Retest the fitting on the fuel bowl and continue checking, removing and grinding some metal until you can screw the fitting in at least 3 threads into the bowl.
